My section of the exhibit was named 'Solace'. It is an homage to the comfort that art gives in turbulent emotional states. There is a certain warmth that an artwork offers in the making process that is inimitable. The piece has no expectations of what it will be. It is forgiving and encourages mistakes to be an improved version of itself. During every step of the making process, the work is whole-heartedly content with who it is. This consolation is a therapeutic escape from ideas of self and others and one which I wanted to share the products of.
